Kimberly Sheffield, MSW

I am a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern (RCSWI) in Florida, devoted to helping individuals and couples navigate life’s storms. My clients will uncover their strength, work towards healing, and find hope. I specialize in relational trauma and narcissistic abuse, and help clients move beyond anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I create a safe, heart-centered space where clients can process pain, uncover inner strengths, and take actionable steps to break old patterns to reconnect with themselves and build the lives they want.

I blend Somatic trauma-informed practices, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and Tapping, with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to address both the mind and body. This mind-body approach helps clients learn to regulate their nervous system, process trauma, and develop resilience. I work with teens to help them explore their identities, discover their strengths, and gain confidence in who they are becoming. I work closely with couples to improve communication, rebuild trust, deepen connection, and provide specialized support for survivors of narcissistic abuse and relational trauma.

I believe therapy is a collaborative journey where curiosity, empathy, and authenticity guide the process. Every client’s experience is unique, and I tailor my interventions to meet their individual needs while fostering growth, healing, and self-discovery.

As a Christian, and when requested, I offer counseling from a biblical worldview integrating faith and prayer into my practice. I welcome clients of all backgrounds and belief systems, respecting each person’s journey, and using spirituality as a resource only when it aligns with the client’s goals.
