I work with teenagers, adults, couples, and families. I specialize in couples and family dynamics. I am offering Equine Therapy, working with horses and utilizing the calming effects of grooming, petting, and quality time around animals.

I believe therapy is an invaluable tool that is beneficial for everyone. I integrate a psychodynamic and person-centered approach to counseling with CBT and DBT. I work in collaboration with my clients to help them achieve their goals and find healing. Grace and compassion are the core values I base my practice on as we move through the therapeutic process together, finding internal harmony.

I have experience working with adults in crisis situations, depression, anxiety, relational issues, and substance abuse, as well as with first responders and veterans. I have experience working with children age 8 and older, with a focus on creating and attaining goals and coping strategies. I offer Christian faith-based counseling upon request.

My professional background spans across various industries, including law enforcement and education. I am a mother, a writer, and I enjoy spending time in nature.

I am currently working towards licensure as an LMFT and pursuing the following certificates: Certified First Responder Counselor, Dream Analysis, and Trauma-Informed Yoga.

EQUINE THERAPY

Many people seek being with horses for personal gratification, emotional support, and self-care. Research shows how programs using equines can boost feelings of purpose, motivation, self-awareness, self-esteem, and encourage emotional expression and connection. Equine Therapy has been used for troubled teens, inmate programs, parent/child bonding sessions, couples therapy, and even curtailing addictions.

Horses have the power to mirror our emotions, offer zero judgement, serve as great listeners, and communicate in a soulful way. The connections they make with humans are valuable towards building interpersonal connection and healing, therefore making the sessions very valuable.

I conduct Equine Therapy sessions on a15-acre farm in Samsula, just outside of the Port Orange city limit. The farm has 7 horses, 2 pigs, and 3 donkeys. It is a peaceful setting with a creek, a pond, some woods, and a barn. The horses we work with are senior horses who are mellow, and one young horse who's like a big puppy dog. The pot-bellied pig, Charlotte, is sociable and loves to be groomed, as well.

If you are interested in booking an Equine Therapy session, or if you have any questions about this service, please call/text me directly at (407) 434-9557 or email me at  tboivin.creation@gmail.com.
